Hunter × Hunter 2011 is the 'reboot' of the original series of 1999. It was created in order to improve the quality of the animation (ex. cute Bisky), and because the 1999 series was very popular; they rebooted the series to gain some more popularity.
Hey guys, does anyone know when season 5 of hunter x hunter will be coming out on Netflix? If you look it up on google the first thing that comes up says March 2021 but it isn't yet on Netflix. Does anyone know anything about the release date?

Carock_. • 3 yr. ago. The 99 series has 62 episodes, plus 30 episodes of OVAs (92 total episodes). Those OVA episodes were not dubbed in English. I'd recommend watching the subbed version. As for what's canon, there are a few non-canon episodes, but most of the non-canon content is some filler mixed into episodes.
