I mean GW2 was trash at release it took them 3 years to make the game better. It's only good because of content updates, you can't compare it to new world. guildwars 2 as i can log in there and people there are nice not the trash here. no one report you for afk or to take you out of pvp. GW2 is much better.
The restrictions are nothing compared to WoWs free version. There are still plenty of lvl 80 zones in the free version for endgame content and the great thing about gw2 is even old maps are still full of players and events. There are no dead maps. You will still be able to do fractals as well which is like our version of end game dungeons.

The choice to make elite specs to begin with, to balance them as better, to tie them to expansions, we can argue until we're blue in the face about whether it's "technically" "pay to win," but the reality is, it's a way to push people to spend and it relates to player power if you do competitive play.
PVE is more reliant on events in Gw2, you won't really find quests. Some of the successes can be closer to the quests you're used to. Flashpints are dungeons (before lv80) and fractals (lv 80 onward) ; operations are raid and strikes. A lot of maps have a meta event ; there isn't really a swtor equivalent. You'll give up the starfighters but we
Guild Wars 2 is better in every possible way. The only downside is that you will be forced (at some point - base game is free) to buy expansions (they are worth it - especially second one) and living story episodes. Still far less P2W and money sucking that in Neverwinter. I've played the game for a while now, and crafting never seemed worthwhile when the trading post exists. For example, let's say I'm a newly-trained chef and I want to make the basic unidentified orange dye. That takes 25 onions and 25 carrots. Right now on the trading post, 25 onions costs 74s 90c, and 25 carrots costs 18s 93c. iD7e.
