Alfamaintenance spec calls for replacing a GTV6 timing belt every 30K miles. But that doesn't take into account low mileage driving habits. My GTV6 only sees about 2K miles a year, thus would take 15 years before reaching the timing belt replacement interval which is obviously too long. I've read on other forums that it should be replaced

The service manual suggests an oil change every 10K miles, but my regular mechanic, who services Porsches, BMWs andInever want to have a warranty claim denied because of lack of "proof" of appropriate oil changes, so have an appointment tomorrow to have Alfa do one now, and then will start a rigorous oil change schedule with Dealer proof, and still do my own interval changes, keeping my receipts, as I usually do.

Im still about a year out from this service on my QV, BUT the service guide for my dealer shows $1380 at 40K miles. That price includes oil change, brake fluid change, engine air filter, cabin air filter, and the belt (along with the multi-point inspection/lubrication). $1K+ for just the belt seems a little steep based on local pricing for the belt/full service

2348posts · Joined 2003. #6 · May 25, 2021. I don't have MES. Sussex Alfa did and they seem to do a lot of service interval resets. The Snap-on diagnostics didn't do it either - there were two options on there as well. Oil change reset and service interval reset. I tried both.
