Only problem is that I occasionally get "Checking navigation data" message when selecting navigation and it simply hangs on that. I switch off Amundsen, remove and replace sd card, switch on and it works!
Quick update. Took three attempts to do it but have managed to use bomski's guide (with updated link) to upload speed cameras to my sat nav. Not sure why first two attempts didn't work. The file tree that worked for me (on a Windows Computer) is attached. Thanks again bomski for taking the time to put the guide together. File Tree.pdf 2. Hi Has anyone managed to manually update an Mib3 system yet, I have a 2020 year UK Kodiaq but the update does not seem to work yet. I thought I read there was a software update to allow manual map updates but does not look like it has happened. I have not subscribed to the Skoda connect services The voice command is "navigation announcements on/off". When on the navigation screen, press the voice command button on the steering wheel and available commands are shown on the screen. Problem with the turning the volume down is that you need to wait for an announcement and even then you can't turn it off fully.
2. Unreliable sat-nav system. Many drivers have reported minor electrical issues, often relating to the Octavia’s sat-nav system. What repair is needed to fix a sat-nav fault? Taking your Octavia to a main dealer may be the best option if the built-in sat-nav isn’t working as it should.

8. Location: United Kingdom. Model: Octavia III Elegance Estate. Posted 7 May, 2015. I'm getting used to the sat nav's nuances in my new (first!) O3 Elegance wagon. Being used to a portable TomTom, I naturally look to be able to input postcodes to find a destination, but I'm at a complete loss to find a way to do this on the built-in sat nav.

The sat nav now appears to be working OK except for the fact that the SD card will no longer work in slot 2 as instructed by Skoda. It will work however from slot 1. Slot 2 is still operational - I can play music from it OK. So I'm quitting whilst I'm winning for the moment.

My understanding is the same, Skoda pay for the service for the new cars they sell, the owner doesn't pay an annual fee, we'll not on a 2017 car. I think the system is different now. So if Skoda have stopped paying I would expect other cars with the same integrated Sat nav to stop TMC as well. I am convinced it happened after a Skoda service. QC45hn8.
