Mesmer feels so smooth to play. It feels unlike any other mmo class. I wish it had a viable healer build, but that’s just because the class is so fun to play. Good option for group content or open world. Oh fantastic I’ll look into that. In that case I revise my claim: Mesmer is the perfect class.
The competitive PvP game mode of Guild Wars 2 brings many players to its doorsteps, each having their own builds. The best part about build crafting in Guild Wars 2 PvP is that when you visit the PvP Map Hub, you are already leveled up to 80 with all of your skills and traits unlocked (minus elite specializations if you don't have the expansion packs, of course), as well as a variety of runes
Its quite mechanically dense and plays fairly differently to other classes because of initiative instead of cooldowns. Also if you tend to mash buttons thief will punish you for it, because of how initiative and skill queing work you can easily lock yourself into animations in the middle of a sketchy fight.
But here is the thing, love the world. But I can't seem to find any class I enjoy playing. In other MMORPGs, like Wow I always play as a DK, warrior, or paladin. Love 2h wep. and death. In other MMORPGs, its always 2h wep classes. But I tried warrior and they feel so weak, that is boring to play IMO.
Thief was by far the most fun to level. Shortbow teleport made traversal fast & interesting before mounts. The Thief skillset all feels super responsive to me and is packed with mobility skills. Plus chain-unloading dual pistols into a target never gets old. PoroQuagganBob.
In “Through the Veil,” three new story chapters will continue the adventure that began with the launch of Guild Wars 2®: Secrets of the Obscure™. You’ll pick up from where the launch story concluded and take your first brave steps into a new world—Nayos, the realm of dreams. New challenges arise as you unlock a new mastery line and
Secrets of the Obscure is ArenaNet’s fourth major expansion pack to Guild Wars 2, releasing on August 22, 2023. The expansion introduces a number of new areas and features to the base game: 2 new maps and the Wizard's Tower Outpost. Steamlined Skyscale acquisition, updated Skyscale masteries, and in-game earnable Skyscale skin.
If you want to be tanky, then you should play classes that make you tanky through skill usage. Spellbreaker/Core Warrior, Herald, Guardian, Tempest (Elementalist elite spec), and Necromancer are all very survivable even without the need of tanky stats. r/Guildwars2.
With the expansions they can evolve into more solid elite class. But TBH, pretty much any class can solo open world content. Play the class you like and just search for an OW build variant if you are struggling. Super solid builds become necessary only when you’re soloing legendary bounties or strike/raid bosses. 16.
